: This type of carpet is generally one of two
types, the first being a full field decoration of floral
motifs based on Persian designs, most commonly the geometric
Herati design. The second has a full medallion,

is usually surrounded by a zig zag or jagged border.
The design of Fereghans has been long recognised in England
and the rest of Europe as one of the most decorative carpets,
somewhat due to the capability to make very large carpets.
